about
Demo version of a song that will be on our next EP that is untitled as of yet. We plan to go into the studio in Sept. 2012 to record the EP. This song was part of a 3 song demo session that was also the last time former member Shawn Struckhoff recorded with the band.
lyrics
Broad daylight in an alleyway
comes the darkest of days.
I've severed my ties, now they have come to sever me.
One more blow struck to the head.
Will this be my living end?
How could I have known that redemption would come
in the hands of one I betrayed?
And when the smoke has cleared will I see past the tears and the mess I have made?
When will I find a resting place?
I'm going home
With blood stained hands
Too deep to run away this time
Swallow my pride
I'm going home
a broken man
Pray that there is still hope for me
when that moment comes
Just when my strength gave
I hit the ground
My voice called in an awful sound
"Forgive me! What have I done this for?"
Meanwhile the Chemist is making haste
he comes to hold me and kiss my face
and says "oh, my adopted son, take my hand."
"We're going home
I understand.
I know that you saw your brother die,
but I will bring him back
We're going home
Just take my hand
and know that there's still hope for you
when that moment comes."
